REET Passing Marks: REET Exam 2025 is being conducted in Rajasthan on 27th and 28th February. Lakhs of candidates will appear in this exam, as this exam is one of the mandatory qualifications to become a teacher in Rajasthan. This time 14,29,822 candidates have registered for the REET exam, out of which the exam will be conducted in two shifts on 27th February and in one shift on 28th February.
The biggest question for the candidates appearing in this exam is how many marks are required to pass this exam? Now the answer to this question has been found in the REET 2025 passing marks released by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi.
REET Exam Minimum Passing Marks
In the REET exam, candidates of General Category and Unreserved Category will have to obtain minimum 60% marks. At the same time, 55% marks have been made mandatory for Scheduled Caste (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Most Backward Classes (MBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
There is also a difference in passing marks for TSP and non-TSP areas. 55% marks are required for Scheduled Caste (SC) non-TSP areas, while the minimum passing marks in TSP areas have been fixed at 36%.
Apart from this, minimum 50% marks have been made mandatory for widows and deserted women, ex-servicemen. Candidates belonging to the Divyang (PWD) category will have to score 40% marks, while for Sahariya tribes this limit has been kept at only 36%.

Why is it important to Pass The REET Exam?
Passing the REET exam does not mean that you will get a direct appointment letter for the teacher post. This exam is only for obtaining the Eligibility Certificate. Candidates who obtain the minimum marks prescribed will be considered eligible and will be able to participate in the teacher recruitment processes.

If a candidate does not obtain the minimum passing marks, he/she will not be issued a REET certificate. This certificate will have lifetime validity, so that candidates will not need to appear for the exam again and again.
