UGC NET Result 2025: If you appeared in UGC NET December 2024 exam and are eagerly waiting for your result, then there is big news for you. This time is very important for lakhs of candidates who appeared in this exam, because now the time for release of the result is near.
According to media reports, UGC NET result can be declared on 25 February 2025. However, as soon as the official announcement is made, candidates can check their result by visiting the NTA (National Examination Agency) website. UGC NET Result 2024 Exam Date
The UGC NET exam was conducted between January 3 and January 27, 2025. The exam was conducted in 284 cities across the country, in which about 6,49,490 candidates appeared. The attendance rate of the candidates in this exam was 76.5%, which shows how tough the competition is.
The provisional answer key for the UGC NET exam was released on 1 February 2025, and candidates were given time till 3 February 2025 to raise objections. Now that the scrutiny of objections is complete, the final result will be declared soon.
UGC NET Exam Marks Required to Pass
Different cutoff marks have been set for different categories of candidates to pass the UGC NET exam.
- General Category candidates must obtain at least 40% marks to pass the exam.
- Minimum 35% marks will be required for OBC, SC, ST and PWD category candidates.
However, the final merit list and cutoff marks will be decided based on the performance of the candidates and the difficulty level of the exam. Candidates are advised to check the official notification for detailed information.

- First of all go to the official website (ugcnet.nta.nic.in).
- On the home page you will find the link of UGC NET 2025 result, click on it.
- Now a new window will open, where you have to enter your roll number, date of birth and security code.
- After this click on the submit button.
- Your result will open on the screen, which you can download and also take a printout for future.
